The forest stands at the threshold between appearing and disappearing. Tall trunks rise through the mist; some seem bright and near, while others dissolve into the darkness and silence of the distance. The delicate marks scratched into the painted surface evoke memories preserved upon the trees’ skin. In this work, mist does not represent oblivion. To me, it is a space between what we know and what we can only feel. The quiet whiteness in the lower part of the painting absorbs the movement of the colors, carrying the forest into a world beyond time. “Beyond the Mist” is an invitation to look past nature’s silent exterior and approach its hidden soul—a place where every tree holds an untold memory and every shadow carries an unfinished story.
