Soul of the Forest
In this work, the forest is not merely a place, but a living being with a memory of its own. The trunks stand beside one another as crimson moves through their recollections like warm blood. The darker passages carry the weight of passing years, while the pale lower field resembles mist, dissolving the boundary between past and present. I wanted to capture a moment in which the forest does not conceal its wounds, but transforms them into part of its beauty. The colors descend through the canvas as though an ancient memory were seeping into the roots, preparing to return as life. “Crimson Roots” is about the force that remains within nature even after suffering—a quiet spirit breathing in the darkness, awaiting its next season of growth.
